I can't find a video driver that will work with it. Can anyone either tell me where I can find a video driver for the ATI Radeon X300 which is built into the Dell Latitude D610 which will work for Windows 98 or even point me to where I can get an answer to a technical question like this if not here. The Windows XP/2000 driver from Dell refuses to install on Win98 OS. There are a lot of old programs which will not run on XP that I want to use it for (it's not for internet connectivity so security is not an issue)

No the notebook was never intended to run Windows 98 which is why Dell only offers the 2000/XP drivers. The Dell CD is worthless. My best hope is to just try a bunch of others drivers in the hopes one will work. The generic low rez built in Windows default driver has the machine working in 16 colors 640x480 rez right now Yuck!

Dell D610 Drivers

You could try this driver:

http://www.opendrivers.com/driver/218305/ati-radeon-x300-x600-x800-series-driver-catalyst-4.11-beta-windows-98-me-free-download.html

But really, it isn't very likely that you would get 98 working properly on it. Have you tried using the compatibility feature in XP to get your programs working? If the program refuses to work on XP, and demands 98, you can "trick" it using the compatibility feature. I have gotten Final Fantasy VII for PC (designed for Windows 95) working on XP just fine with this method.
