I'm 5'3 105 lbs and I lift 350 lb patients. Been doing it for over 4 yrs now as a Paramedic. I have seen more men get injured lifting less weight. I have not injured myself yet. Why are these guys such wimps?

It could be that they don't take their training seriously. I once worked in a nursing home, and I watched as the nurse's aides lifted the patients. They did it the correct way and were never injured.

You obviously know the proper way to lift and use the weight to help you. Smart.

Overall, more men are in the job sectors that are most responsible for workplace injuries, ie; the construction and service quadrants.

female firefighters reported 33 percent more injuries than male firefighters ... ! Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
And it goes on to say "the females were assigned less dangerous duties"

it depends on how smart they are with lifting their weights...... Like holding something wrong could really hurt you......... its happened to me a couple of times when I have lifted weights..... its because I wasn't being smart about it... end of story.
