that are 47 inches and 33 inches, respectively. what is the height of the son, to the nearest inch?

h = height son

h = (33/47)*70 = 49 in

to the nearest inch

The boys height is 49.148936170213 inches.

Using right triangle trigonometry you have 90 degrees, and 2 sides.

The answer is 42.177418600899 degrees (or you could use the other angle 47.822581399101 it doesn't matter).

Substitute 33 for 47 and you can find the other height which is 49.148936170213 inches.

70/47=1.49
1.49x33=49
Son is 49 inches tall.
