Do NOT use the paperclip! It is most likely that wax is not your problem, but that you have a pressure buildup behind your eardrum. You can take your decongestants if you are having sinus problems. You can also use a saline nasal spray to try to open your sinuses up. In order to relieve the pressure in your ears you can try to "pop" them. Hold your nose, close your mouth and blow (as if your trying to blow your nose). Do this twice - four or five times a day. At first you may not notice anything, but if you keep it up your ears will "pop" and the pressure will be relieved for a short time. Make sure you keep your Dr.'s appointment even if you feel better my monday. Ear problems are tricky and often take a long time to remedy themselves.

You never need to get rid of earwax. It's a commercial myth. The wax protects the ear drum from infection. If too much builds up it gets dry and keeps breaking off in tiny bits whilst your asleep. This means you have the right amount of earwax in your ears at all times.Wax increases in the ear when there is infection problems, when the infection dies down, the excess wax breaks off bit by bit.Using drops etc, means greater risk of infection as the wax is removed

It highly unlikely you have a clogged ear from wax, unless you have been using ear plugs to force the wax inward.
This can be more accurately described as otitis media or, you have a blockage of the tube that runs from the throat to the inner ear..Making it unable to establish an equal balance of air pressure on either side of the ear drum. This can come about resultant to a minor throat infection.

Clogged with what?
Do you have a cold?
Do you suffer from allergies?
Earwax should not give you such a clogged feeling.
Don't dig in your ear with anything smaller than a fist - that is what the doctors recommend. Paper clips are a big NO-NO.
If you have ear wax, go to the Pharmacy and talked to the Pharmacist. He can help you in choosing the correct product on his shelves.

It is very unsafe!!!! DO NOT PUT A PAPERCLIP IN YOUR EAR.
Get a dropper and drop a couple drops of pure olive oil in the ear canal before bed and place cotton balls in the ears (do not push too far in). The oil will help loosen the wax and the excess should liquify and flow out.

putting the drops in helps but if you don't use an ear syringe and water to flush the wax out, it just sits in there. Go to the drug store and ask the pharmacist for an ear bulb syringe, use warm water and flush the wax out. NEVER EVER stick a thing like a paper clip in your ear, or you could rupture your ear drum and lose your hearing, or scratch the ear canal wall and get a really nasty infection that could also lose you your hearing.
