I agree, No raisins or pennies... I even have been noticing inspite of the indisputable fact that that many companies are exciting sizing their products for trick or treaters... At Wal Mart the different day I observed pretzels and Oreos in small bags to be surpassed out... no longer as undesirable as candy, yet no longer as lame as raisins!

These were more common:
little boxes of raisins
apples
oranges
popcorn balls
pencils
erasers
pennies, nickels and dimes
I don't remember people going "hog wild" in the Fifties and Sixties.
