Let me tell you about me. I'm 30 years old and this is my first child. I think its a girl. I have the upmost respect for women, and I love all women, all colors. I've never been to jail. I don't smoke or drink, I use to. But I changed my way of thinking as I got older and realized that there are some things out there that I just don't need. My nickname is the Jedi because I believe that I am different and I answer to a higher calling. I know that sounds crazy, but I just believe that I'm different from anyone else on this planet. I'm 6 foot 2 inches and I'm from South Carolina. I love the south. Thanks......

How about naming your child after some of the black leaders in our country's history. For instance, Maya is a lovely name. Colin Powell is great, either/or for a son. Maybe you had a mentor or father figure or sports figure or film star--have you ever seen Cicely Tyson act? I'll never forget her performance in Roots. Lots of wonderful Jazz players and singers. Use your heritage to name your child. Better yet, use your Bible.

Congratulations on the way you've turned your life around, and your coming baby!

I know this sounds crazy, but I had a miscarriage and if it was a girl I was going to name her Zalie Jayde. I also thought about Aryana, Alysa, Mayli, and now I have turned toward naming my little girl, when I have one, Constance Marie after my husbands father because he died when my husband was 5. You might look into using a name that has a special meaning to you. Also, you can just put letters together that sound good. My sister in laws name is Ayde (i-day). Good Luck.

You sound like a great guy. The baby's mom is lucky to have a sweet partner! Why not give the baby your mom's name as a middle name, or your partner's name as a middle name? :)

I love the south too,I've got family from Dothan Alabama. Anyway, I think a cool name would be Delaney. I don't know, some people like it, some don't.
