This question comes up at least twice a week.

Axl Rose - sings like a constipated grandmother.
Amy Lee
NOFX
Anti-Flag
Rise Against
Bob Dylan - sounds horrible no matter if his voice is unique.
Coheed & Cambria - might be a decent group if not for Claudio Sanchez, who sounds like an idiot.

I will agree that Fall Out Boy has a pretty annoying singer to listen to. I also think that the Smashing Pumpkins' singer Billy Corgan needs to change his tone of voice in some of the songs he sings. He sings all of his songs the same way and some of the songs he sings like "Today" or "Landslide" just sound totally brutal because he sings those songs like he is in anger or rage. The song "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" was the greatest song The Smashing Pumpkins recorded because Billy Corgan's voice totally put the right kick into this song.

I also think Panic at the Disco has a pretty annoying singer too. He sounds similiar to the singer in Fall Out Boy. That's why I never really listened to those bands.

As far as girls being singers in rock bands; it is very hard to find those types of bands these days. That is why many girls end up becoming the lead singer of some Pop band. I mean not many girls seem to know how to put any rage into their singing. A good singer in a rock band will not be afraid to express his her thoughts and feelings with aggression. There are many girls that lack these qualities. If I had to say which rock band had the best females singers, I would have to say Amy Lee from Evanescene and Lacey Mosley from Flyleaf. Their voices really shape a different style of rock in their songs.

Every single emo band has an irritating singer. Especially that twit from MCR. I would just love to slam a burning hot meat pie right in his face.
