yes it would. the nation seems to have lost the spirit of compromise that was the only reason the US constitution worked out.
Now each side tries to come up with the mosty extreme ideas in diametrically opposing directions

Rosie and Ann are not politicians.
The far left are the top contenders in the Democrat party presidential race: Clinton, Obama & Edwards.
The moderate (Giuliani) is leading the Republican race.
Which side of the aisle would you say is controlled by the extreme?

In other words, wouldn't this country be better off if everyone shared the same views?
I see where you're coming from, our government could certainly accomplish more if it (and the citizens) weren't so caught up in pointless partisan bickering. At the same time, what is at one point extreme, such as the view that women deserve the right to vote or that segregation should be abolished, sometimes becomes the norm and makes our country that much better. You need conflict to grow and learn.

If both parties weren't so hell bent on just keeping power for themselves and look after the best interest of the country, we would all be better off. Neither party gives a crap about you or me. The extremists are just bomb throwers who try divert the attention away from their party. We would be better off with a viable third party.

Ann Coulter needs to be in a mental hospital where she can get the help she needs.
Extremism hurts America, and when extremists control power...the results are terrible.

Yes, I believe so.
When choosing a Presidential candidate, one should use good common sense and examine a candidate for his honesty and truthfulness.
In order for anyone to win, they need, somehow, to have big money backing.
The man that stands upright (and this is not completely impossible) is the best choice for president.
