The best and fastest way to do it is
I-10> 1-215 >I-15 > 1-40.That's 800 miles and assuming that you can beat traffic from LA to San Bernardino and assuming that the trip is snow free it ,shouldn't take you more than 14-15 hrs
get gas at AZ exit 48

Interstate 40 to Interstate 15 in Barstow, CA. Turn south to Interstate 10, then west to L.A. You'll hit 10 when you come off of Cajon pass. It's about a day and half drive.
