Okay, so this is a long story and I'm scared i might be pregnant. Last month i lost my birth control compact so i used a backup one and i figured out that i took an extra week's worth of pills because i went from taking a few dark blue pills back to the light blue ones without realizing it. then i got my period but it hardly bled and went away quickly. this was like a week ago. now, i've noticed that i have mood swings like no other, there are pimples popping up all over my face (and i never get pimples) my boobs hurt, and i have weird cravings for food.

If you have the pills where the 4th week are a different colour - those are for during your period... Typically there's nothing medical in those, it's for making sure you always remember to take a pill. So basically, when you took those, it's like you skipped pills for a week. If you did that in the middle of your cycle, not good.
OTOH, if you took a new pack and just took the normal pills for a week longer - women do that all the time, to delay periods by a few days. (Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't). No problem.
So basically, if you did the equivalent of skip a week's worth of pills you should have seen your period start. But it's also possible that you ovulated. There's a reason why the fine print on the pill packs says, if you miss more than one in a month, use alternate forms of contraception until you're back on track.
Everyone always asks here "Could I be pregnant?"
Unless you did NOT have sex (or contact with sperm), the answer is:
- possibly.
- can't tell until you miss a period.
- then, take a home pregnancy test.
- Or, wait a few months and you'll know.
- until then, worrying won't help anything.

OMG sure!!! I utterly agree! I am seeking to emerge as a DOCTOR, k? So of path I consider that being pregnant is the pleasant time period. Prego seems like pasta sauce and preggers seems like a disorder....either one of which don't have anything to do with pregnacies! Anyways, CONGRATS!!!! I'm certain you are going to have a lovely, healthful little one. Best of needs!!!

Well from what I understand from being on the pill when I was.If you don't take it everyday at the same exact time you can get pregnant. And stressing out about it will make your period all wierd.I suggest you buy a test and good luck.

Dont panic, just go to the nearest Planned Parenthood clinic to get a test done. you could get a store bought test but if you want to be sure go there and have a nurse do it. Good Luck
