On what song does Slick Rick do the whole "It's all because of you, I'm feeling sad and blue" routine? It's not lodi dodi like some people might think because Snoop Dog covered lodi dodi and added that part it with a girl singing but the original version doesn't have it. So am I trippin'? Does Slick Rick even sing "It's all because of you" in one of his songs or did I think just because Snoop sang it so did Slick Rick. Why would Doug E. Fresh sing it at the Hip Hop Honors this year if Slick Rick didn't do it first. Thank you in advance!

that came from the original song 'sukiyaki', by i think Pink Lady.. but Slick Rick DID rhyme that part in La-Di-Da-Di. very distinct memory with Doug E Fresh background beatbox. Snoop should know better than to redo an already classic rap....

As the other people said, it was lodi dodi. Doug E. Fresh was singing it at hip hop honors because that was his song with Slick Rick. That song was from the past which was be honored( name of the show). Entertainers remake songs all the time.

Old institution hip hop is the ****** nice, my favourite historic institution rappers encompass ; Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., Eazy E/NWA, Big L, Big Pun. Mainstream is bullshit in comparison to historic institution. R.I.P OLD SCHOOL !
