I love the smell of fresh cut grass. I have been know to drive around the city just to smell fresh cut grass. My family knows that a trip to the grocery store may take awhile on some days because I'm "out sniffing the air" as they call it. I also love the smell of apple pie and pumpkin pie, and B-B-Q. MMMM so many smells and only one nose.

Personally I have always preferred the smell afte ra nice rain. It brings out the scetns of the grass, trees, flowers, even the dirt on the ground. Even though the scent of fresh cut grass is nice it only smells that way if the grass under the top inch of grass is humid or damp. When it is dry it is too much like old hay lying in the field and the air is filed with grass dust and cuts down on the quality of the air you smell.

From a nature lovers' point of view I have to agree on both counts. The smell of rain after a long drought has to be the best. I can almost feel the excitement coming from the veld when those big, dark, fat clouds come wafting in over the hills
- tap water just does not have the same regenerative powers.

As a conservationist - the smell of freshly felled camphor or eucalyptus trees. (both on our list of highly invasive plants in RSA KZN)

The smell of rain. Everything smells much better in both the city and the country. It smells crisp. The best smell is that which is left after a summer thunder storm and you're standing in the middle of the woods. Everything smells new and alive. It's delicious...

The smell of rain after a thunder storm is better than just ordinary rain!

Being a mother, I would say nothing smells better than a freshly bathed baby!

I love the smell of freshly cut grass I don't know why , maybe the satisfaction of seeing the lawn clean and tidy. I have mixed reactions to the smell of rain . one reason I'm an outdoor person so rain holds me up.but here in Southeast Queensland Australia we don't get enough so its wonderful when we have had plenty of rain but super when I can see those clouds dissappearing
