No. However there are those who would make you think that he is watching you, to fulfil their massive control complex.

The answers to this question beyond the realm of speculation are infinite. There are know solid scientific experiments which have been done on the subject. Even if they had, then pray tell how would one create a "double-blind" experiment. Of what nature would ones placebo be? Which ones? What kind? Or how many designs would produce enough data to analyze the variance of the results of the measures of what Central Tendency would we begin to argue and spit out all of the butt ends of our "days and ways"? And to further quote Elliot, "I have heard the mermaids singing each to each... I do not think they will sing for me."

God's not watching us from a distance, he's living in us and witness what we do and see. He gives us free will to believe or not believe this is true.

Well, if you are God, then why not?
Also, I believe one of the properties of God is omniscience, knowledge of everything. If he is all knowing then he knows exactly what we will do by default.
Or, because he loves/cherishes us....etc etc
So, one: Boredom/Curiosity
Two: No choice. It is a defining characteristic
Three: Love, benevolence, etc
Just a few options

I have to admit that I -do- rather like the image of the Xtian God as some kind of 'voyeaur'. It kinda fits with my general, overall impresion of her anyway.

actually not from a distance, and for the true of it God is not actually "watching" us as much as "being" us.

No God isn't watching us. He's watching "Highway to Heaven" on Bravo.
