I grew up in a small very prejudice Southern town and watched racism from each race hold it back. Yes , I believe racism hurts everyone involved but none more than the racist themselves. These people (from each race) would vote for a crooked politician of their own race before they would vote for a highly qualified individual of another race. It was painful to watch as a child and adolesant, and very lonely because I was a white girl going to a 99.9% black school. (please forgive any my politically incorrect terms . I'm old and they were correct when I learned them.)

Across the board? Sure. I also wish for people who constantly complain about being "victims" of racism to stop bitching all the time. Whites are criticized everyday in mainstream media and if these same complaints or comments were made to a minority it would be considered racism.

YES OH YES I do it hurts so bad! I don't understand it. This is 2007. The children are learning it somewhere I thought we got rid of it years ago. I guess I have been living under a rock it shocks me to see so much of it going on again. I really thought we had gotten past it. I love everybody. Just think if your child needed a heart or blood would you care where it came from???? White?? Black??? Gay??? Straight??? Come on what is wrong with this country?? Where is the love?

Of, course! No racism means no racial discrimination. Therefore, harmonious relationship among individuals in the society will exist which is all we long dreamed of.

Without racism, how could I feel comfortable hating the Swedes for no reason?

Of course I wish it but that's not gonna happen in my lifetime I don't think, all races have racist people and there are too many that keep passing it on to their children.
