KEV...... This is a political question. Brown is mixing politics and the McCanns. I just hope the media is there to watch him shoot himself in the foot ,,,,again.

Much has been made of the McCanns government links, and this being the reason for the apparant government cover up surrounding the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

The usual suspects have been rolled out: the freemasons, illuminati, etc.

The link is far more simple.

Gordon Brown is the prime minister and therefore the man making decisions and signing the cheques.

His brother, Andrew, is the press officer for EDF energy which operates nuclear power stations.

"In November 2005, EFD's Chief Executive, Vincent de Rivaz, told a parliamentary committee that new nuclear power stations could be built within ten years if planning and licensing laws are relaxed."

Gerry McCann is a medical advisor to COMARE, a governemnt committee which monitors radiation in the enviroment.

It's a win, win, win situation. Except of course for those who end up living next door to a nuclear waste depot.

But not to worry because Yvette Cooper is the housing minister, and her father, Tony, is a board member of the Nuclear Decommisioning Authority. Yvette Cooper also happens to be married to Gordon's political chum, Ed Balls.

So all Gerry needs to do to repay Gordon, for getting a case of potential infanticide dropped, is vote through the relaxation of the laws surrounding the operation and commisioning of nuclear power stations. Then Gordon signs the cheques, and his brother gets a bonus for his successful lobbying. Gordon gets paid later in the form of a nice little pension for doing a couple of days work as a director.

Nope there is no corruption in British public life.

peace:)

RE Gordon Brown think of the alternative a tory government, remember the last time they were in power, they were so bent some of them went to prison. If you want to know what a con man looks like have a look at David Cameron and his cronies. Don't lets go back to those days please.

Definitely! and if this is true it needs to investigated! This is wrong. I cannot believe what is happening in this case, talk about bizarre! It stinks of corruption and cover-up and I so hope that there will be enough DNA, or some 'honest' person will speak the truth... I feel sick at the whole thing and don't know how they can look in little Madeleine's eyes and sleep at night........

I can't stand the Tory's or anything they stand for but I have e-mailed, thanks to your link...

I just read a thread on the Mirror forum by someone who's just come back from PDL with some gossip.

The word going around there is that GB is some sort of cousin of GM....

you may smell a rat ,but there is definitely something fishy about this case ,Madeleine seems to have been forgotten along the way.it is now all about the parents ,who have not been charged with anything ,but seem to be the main and most important thing about it....find Madeleine and then worry about everything else.the whole thing from the start is a disgrace...

His eyes are weird cos hes only got 1, lost the other playing rugby. As for giving him a chance, no chance. This is the guy who plundered the pension funds and has intorduced so many stealth taxes that in the UK we are now paying something like 55% of income in various taxes. Get rid of him asap.

I wonder if Gordon will mention Mr. Murat in his little chat with the Portugese PM?

I think this has political overtones. I think GMC should resign from his post on the nuclear committee. His involvement on this committee is turning a murder inquiry in which they are suspects into a political incident. Its a total disgrace!!
