I had two near death experiences when I was very young. they were very beautiful and I wanted to go forwards into the light so I have always imagined that it would be like that again.Very gentle.

I am however very afraid of pain and blood so I have fear about events that take me towards the dying process. I am now the eldest in mt family so it is my turn next but I am a bit busy living to think too much and its the thinking that gets me scared.

Nope. Nothing to be afraid of. It happens to us all. As long as you are prepared for it every day then there is nothing to worry about. I am having a big operation on 29th this month and have again been warned that I am a high risk patient and may die. I've updated my will and told everyone I love them just in case and hope that if it is to happen that it will be quick. I prepared like this in August as I had the same operation then and made it so I'm sure it's just a be prepared scenario.

Depends what's ending...

The dog howling, the wife nagging, the kids screaming, Eastenders finishing, next-door's music blaring... I think relief rather than fear would wash over me.

End of my life? Well as you can imagine, I'm quite looking forward to the peace, but if my life flashes before my eyes on the way out... then yes, I'll be afraid of seeing all the mistakes I've made and the people I've hurt.

What i wont understand is why humans are so afraid of death? I guess it all comes down to personal beliefs but even so, isn't death a gift in a way? I'm not afraid of death, i embrace it. But what i am afraid of is, leaving the people i care about most behind me. Ive always wondered if i will even remember them after death or if along with my death, i will forget my memories of being human too. I'm hoping that my human memories will be strong enough to carry over with me....To some ignorance is bliss, but for me, its better to of loved than to of never loved at all.

I hope not.
I'm not ready to die yet, but I don't fear it.
There was nothing before I arrived; there may be nothing after I'm gone. If that be the case, I'll never know, will I?

I don't think so, I will have spent my whole life building up to that moment. I hope to feel peace, but expect I will feel slightly sad, wistful, and hopeful.
