The video card will have DDR3 memory on the card itself. It does not require DDR3 memory on the motherboard. (a good thing, since most motherboards do not yet support DDR3, while graphics cards do.)

The DDR3 on the video card is totally independant of the DDR1 on your motherboard. The motherboard talks to the video card which talks you its memory. It will be fine.

Yes, those two don't have anything to do with each other. DDR3 is a type of RAM memory. your Graphic card has faster ram DDR3. where as your computer has DDR1. They are different things all together. I would be a little surprised your machine (that used DDR3) can take a video card that uses DDR3. But if it has PCIexpress port you should be good to go.

Yes. The DDR3 memory on your video card is used by the video card's GPU and has nothing whatsoever to do with your system ram.

Completely dependent on what you mean. If you mean GDDR3, then you are fine. If you have DDR RAM on your mainboard, there shouldn't be any confliction. However, to get everything out of your computer, I would recommend getting DDR2 800 or better RAM for your mainboard. You won't get the full power of your card if your computer's processor and RAM aren't powerful enough. You will need the perfect balance of the three.

Absolutely. The memory type on the video card is only for the video card. All that really matters is that the card format is right(i.e. pci, pci-e, agp)
