concrete nouns: (things you can touch, see, smell, etc) dog, cake, table, boy, computer, book, house. abstract nouns: (things you cannot touch, see, smell, etc) liberty, happiness, bravery, sadness, sorrow, love, independence, history, mankind transitive verbs: (action verbs that have a direct object) threw the ball, slammed the door, kicking my chair, wants the answers intransitive verbs: (action verbs with no direct object) lie down, run away, going to the store, learning on your own adjectives: (descriptive terms, mostly for nouns) tall, red, big, hungry, smart, easy adverbs: (descriptive terms, primarily for verbs, but can be for anything but nouns) slowly, kindly, quickly, eerily, completely, totally, partially hope this helps
