Here's the problem....we're out of water and I don't know where to pour the bucket of water or how much to pour. In the bowl or in the back? I've never had to do this before.

Hi,I was wondering ,why you are out of water? That really sounds odd to me, but it's none of my biz-wax. Anyway, get your bucket full of water,to the top. Then, pour it into the bowl , fast. One fast pour! That will make it flush. Sorry you don't have water. Byee

Yes, pour the water in the bowl. The siphoning action will drain the bowl (that's how a toilet works, by dumping water from the tank and into the bowl). But save a bit of water in the bucket. Part of a normal toilet flush is to fill the tank back up. There's also a little tube that streams water into a pipe in the tank that fills the bowl back up. That's why there's a few inches of water left in the bowl after you flush a toilet.

If you just dump all the water into the bowl, it will drain the bowl almost completely. After the flushing action is over (no more water drains from the bowl), slowly pour some more water into the bowl to fill it to a normal height. Don't do this too fast, or the toilet might flush again.

If you pour the bucket into the bowl fast enough, it will usually flush, but that can get iffy depending on the size of your bucket.. If you pour the bucket into the tank until the water reaches the top of the pipe inside then you can pull the handle to flush perfectly.

Either way, the bowl won't fill back up, so you should slowly add some water to that also.

Just pour it in the bowl About a gallon or less. Gravity is the how these bowls work, so once its filled enough, it will flush on its own.
No need to fill the back of the tank, unless you just want to use the handle to flush, but why bother, just pour in the bowl directly.

Pour it directly into the bowl. You will actually see it flush when you've added enough water as you watch. It won't over flow if that's what you are worried about! Good Luck.....

Dont wast the water you have, after you have washed dishes tip that water down the toilet, use only water that you have already used for something else, washing etc. about half a bucket full is plenty

Pour it in the back not the bowl. Pour enough til that black ball thing, or floater is lifted up. Then flush.
