does the pawnshop go to her? or does the state step in ...she is realy conserned and she is a great gal..she wrote a bad check a few years ago so ....i dont know what to tell her...

does the pawnshop go to her? - Depends. If there is no will then it gets distributed based on state law. How the law distributes the assets depends on how many people stand to inherit and their relationship to her husband. Every state is different.

He needs to have a will. If he wants her to run the business after his death he should add her to things like the business license, bank accounts etc. A lawyer can do a will for not a lot of money.

Maybe the pawn shop goes to her, and since she is now in possession of firearms AND a felon, AND if she lives in California where there is a Three Strikes Law, then she may find herself getting Life in Prison...

... just because her husband died.

she gets the property if there is no will otherwise but she loses the gun license and the other attachments such as that....maybe the pawn license if her states laws prohibit it..states vary but the gun license is federal
