Ha! That's always been one of my favorite cliches... how much smarter our parents become between the time we're 18 and the time we're 21....
No, actually... MY parents were always waaaay ahead of me!
I DID wonder.. FOR YEARS! how my mom always knew what I was going to do.... since MY mom NEVER did anything she wasn't supposed to.... uh-huh...
I figured it out when my son wondered the very same thing!

I think it's that they are a lot smarter the older WE get!!! I was so surprised when I had my daughter to find out how well my mom knew how to take care of babies! LOL who would have ever thought! and the older I get the smarter she gets! I wonder if she was this smart all along?

Yes, until the senile dementia sets in. My children are realizing that now. They ask me for advice now. Oh, it is sweeeet!
