ok first things first
write it as an equation which will be:
15%(105)=?
(the reason this is multiplication, is because the word "of" was used in the problem)
now you have to change 15% to a decimal by moving the decimal two time to the left
rewrite the problem
.15(105)=?
multiply the numbers and you get 15.75 as the answer

15% of 105 means 15 hundredths of 105. You divide 105 by 100 and multiply it by 15.
105/100 = 1.05
1.05*15 = 15.75
15% of 105 is 15.75

15% of anything is easy to do like this
10% is 0.10
so you basically move decimal over 1
so 105 is 10.5
now
5% is just half that
or 5.25
add em
15.75
(also i would see 15% of 100 is easy=15 and 5 is 5 times that[75] but behind the decimal 0.75)
there's a ton of ways to mess with numbers but that 10% and adding half is the easiest to explain i think
