Japan is a very interesting country to research....you can talk about religion, famous or important people, historical events, and the animals that live there.
The same can be said about India, Nepal, Brazil, and many other countries.

If you write about a country, you can include all the above.
ie,
The animals including the endangered animals of that country
The history of it including important historical persons
Its religion.
