first you need to try to adjust the settings on the computer under system prefences or your control panel, not sure what OS ure using but regardless, you need to change the brightness settings in the mainframe control panel. Secondly, it could be that the bulbs are of different type on the two screens unless they are identically manufactured and you need to get creative and find the unique settings that will match. If none of this works and the screens are old and not brand new the bulb may simply be on its dying breath and you need to work the better screen to display all the information. If ure on windows, you should look under screen settings and change the panel display options. tinker between 1 and 2 until you get the desired result

There should be a brightness adjustment. typically a Fn + Exactly what the combination is will depend on the manufacturer.
Lenovo/IBM:
Fn+ Increase brightness
Fn+ Decrease brightness
HP
Fn+F8 Increase brightness
Fn+F7 Decrease brightness
Look for a little sun symbol with and up or down arrow next to it.

You should have a series of buttons located somewhere on your monitor (screen). These buttons control different properties on your screen. One of these buttons should say "Menu" or "Select", press this button now you have your screen properties panel open and you can scroll threw the list by using the plus or minus buttons then when you have found the brightness property press "select" or "menu" to select the settings of this property then use the plus or minus buttons to select the brightness. You should have your screen brightened in no time.
-Hope this Helps

There should be a button on your monitor that has settings for the brightness, you may also need to update your video card drivers, you can also try a third party program that may help
Nokia Monitor Test 1.0.0.1

There are many other monitor programs on that site that may also help
