I'm not planning my retirement yet,
I don't eat as often as they do,
I don't entertain so much (mom loves entertaining friends and family),
I don't go on holiday so much (pity though),
I don't sleep on a King size bed (too single for that, I'll get lost on it ~ lol!)
I wear a lot of jewelry (dad doesn't and mom wears the bare necessity)
My home interior isn't pink (lol!)
I barely drink any alcoholic drinks (mom and dad love their red wine)
I hardly ever watch TV, they each have their own TV, mom watches cultural, interior, travel and food programmes and dad watches sport the whole time)
I didn't grow up on a farm or in the country, it was city life for me
I wear denim jeans
I can barely cook, their cooking is to die for! Both of them are masters in the kitchen.
They don't do extreme sports
I'm not as responsible as they are
I bet there are many more...
forgot about this one, I'm divorced... they've been married for over 40 years now

I'm more like my father, which is not a good thing. I wish I were more like my mother. She never drank or smoked.
She was a very talented dressmaker and I cant make a potholder. She was beautiful and thirsted for education. My father was an alcoholic gambler who died in dt's. I'm a sober alcoholic after many years wasted because of the sauce.
I try to learn as much as I can to be more like my mother, but I could never come up to everything she was.

Me and my mom are soo much alike except for the fact I'm not as tolerant as she is. Me and my dad look alike but that is where the similarities end. We are totally different people and I might add do not get along AT all.

Well, I'm really not either of them in a personal way. I'm more of a blend of both of them if that makes any sense Charms.
My mom is a very warm hearted, family anchored person who loves literature, music, and culture.
Dad is a coach, has a great deal of energy, and was all about effort and motivation growing up.
I'm very lucky. :)

My dad and mom grew up poor and both from broken homes back when it was a big deal. They stuck together till death. My dad dealt with my mom's mental illness from the time I was 7 and in that sense he was a caregiver. My mom liked to help people too, but they both sometimes had ulterior motives. I like to help too, but I try to be more altruistic. I look like my uncle, not my dad. hummmmmmm. peace

I live a healthy lifestyle, by not smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages except a glass of wine at dinner, exercising and went farther in school.
Hope this what you are asking about

My dad passed away years ago, but I am much more like him...very giving & willing to trust.
I am nothing like my mother, she is selfish & has been her whole life...all of us kids did everything we ever could to make her happy & in the end she has disowned us all.
