Who cares about the money it's how the Yankees handled the wholeJoe Torre situation. What don't you people understand? Don't you think that the Yankees should have handled the whole Joe Torre situation better then they did? They said that they would fire him if he lost to Cleveland then instead of firing him outright they string him along andd then lowball him to top it off. Or are you too busy thinking about the money to understand my last question?

Joe has got oodles of money. I think he's made close to $50 million dollars in baseball. That's plenty to feed his lovely family on, lol. He doesn't need to take any more crap from Steinbrenner.

George is going to learn pretty fast that his team will be alot less lovable with Mr Torre at the helm.

I do not know if you read my comment but I think it is a little different than the money or at least I think so. To lowball someone of the caliber is a disgrace to baseball and very disrespectful of a manager who has produced playoff teams from 1996-2007. Granted they did not win the big one the past 7 years but they had a chance and it is to the credit to the other franchises that they played well . I believe it is like when you play Notre Dame in football(well not this year) that other teams play it a notch up because of their desire to defeat the Yankees. The worst thing you could do is to tell a team their manager 's job is on the line and then do not pull the trigger . This describes to me a matter of insincerity and a lack of credibility . Joe Torre is a class act and not firing him but to bring him back just to lowball him is a form of non physical torture which is wrong to Torre , wrong to the team and wrong to the fans.

Yes, I understand the question.

No, I will not change your diaper so please stop crying about a manger on a team you really care nothing for at all.

Joe Torre knows that this comes with being in New York and if you knew anything about baseball so would you.

I wish I was in the position to turn down $5 million dollars a year. Must be nice.

Geez! My kid sister isn't this sensitive. Are you pregnant or something?

Joe Torre got offered more than a fair amount to manage a team that every manager in the league is dying to have.

You are looking at this a-s-s backwards.

Low ball my AZZ! Can you name another manager on this planet that would turn down 5 million dollars a year to manage the Yankees? No you can't!!

If Joe can do better I would love to see it.

I understood your last question and this one as well.

The only problem is that you don't seem to understand them! Get a clue.

I agree that they should have handled the situation a lot better, and offering him a 1 year deal is simply an insult. If he didn't come home with a ring that year he would've had to deal with the same sh*t now. I think he would've gladly taken a paycut if he had simply been granted some job security. Like a 3-4 year contract.

It's Steinbrenner's fault.
