PS3 has a lot of nice fetaures and good graphics if u are high tech get it but if ur looking fo something to play with kids or just have fun get wii kis imak

"Better" is really a subjective term. You should really weigh out the differences between the two and determine which one best suits your tastes, needs, and means.
First, how much money do you have to spend on a game console? The PlayStation 3 is significantly more expensive than the Wii.
What types of games do you like? Generally-speaking, the PS3 probably has more adult-oriented games. The Wii has more games for kids, but that doesn't necessarily mean that everyone couldn't enjoy it, nor that it doesn't have ANY games for adults. However, it really is more of a family-oriented system.
Are you concerned about HD gaming? I'm going to take a bit of a stab in the dark and guess that you aren't. But if you are, the best picture that the Wii can output is 480p. That's Enhanced-Definition TV. The PS3 can output 1080p, which is full resolution High-Definition. The PS3 is also technically more graphically powerful than the Wii, but graphics don't always make the game.
Do you want to try something new and start waggling your Wii Remote? Or would you rather stay in your comfort zone and stick with traditional gamepad-style game play? The Wii is definitely fun in a much different way than traditional gaming.
If I were you, I would take all of these things into consideration. I would also research specific games and see which consoles they are available for.

if u r hardcore then ps3. if u r casual then wii. the wii depends completely on the controller and if the controls suck in a game then the game sucks completely. the ps3 will keep getting better and better as well as have a new 200gb disc instead of the 50gb disc they have now.360 only has 10gb discs. ps3 will have alot of room to make it look better and have more content. the wii still feels like a fad to get mom,dad,and the grandparents to fork over money.

I think the Wii is better. The Playstation 3 is too expensive anyway.
