I did not know until I read this question. I always liked Deborah Kerr. She was a class act in all ways. One of my two lovely aunts passed away on Christmas a few years ago from the same disease, Parkinsons. What a sad ending to anyone's life, especially a wonderful actress like Miss Kerr. My aunt was special, too.

Because of its popularity, I'll have to go along with The King & I; but if you've ever seen her co-starring with Robert Mitchum in The Sundowners, or playing three roles in The Life and Death of Colonel Blimp, or in Black Narcissus, or in The Innocents, or The Chalk Garden, you'll understand how every role she portrayed was especially memorable.
