The Bible has nothing to do with the fact that kids today are spoiled, selfish, disrespectful, and ungrateful brats. You are assuming that Christianity is the only religion that teaches that parents should discipline their kids, which is a faulty assumption. The Norse, for instance, have discipline as one of our highest virtues and Heathen parents strive to teach their kids that. There are many other examples from many other religions. It is also disproved by the assumption that some of the worst parents I have seen were of the church-going scripture-quoting variety, and their kids were horrible. The fact that children are so rotten now is not a lack of scripture thing, and it is not limited to the "New Age hippy" sect either. It's just bad parenting, period. It's not a lack of religion problem, it's not a lack of God problem...it's a stupidity and people who have no business having kids popping them out like their vaginas are clown cars problem.

I am not sure if children lack the discipline or they have more resources to do destuction with. Also in this faster paced world it is easier for children to avoid their parents or person of authority.I suspect the future will be fairly much the same as it is today.Mass confusion, lying, avarice, greed, wars, and all the immortality you can imagine. And where did they learn this? From there dope-using money grubbing authorities. It will only appear worse to us because we are older and less able or inclined to participate in such nefarious activities.I believe morality is more learnes or environmental than genetic. As we get from point A to point B faster and faster more and more trouble will result.Of course as living procreating beings we are subject to adaptation and accommodation.Future generations will become bigger and stronger .If they have never had to face responsibility for their actions then they will never develop a sense of guilt.Learning that making money by any means possible they will only be imitating those who came before them.I laugh when I hear parents say I taught my child to do or not do such and such.I bet the child is laughing behind their backs also .No it is not the undisclined children we need to beware of but veneral diseases, global warming, and other catastropic events in which we have no control.Forget discipline, teach them hygiene.Make them realize the problems they are going to encounter long after we are gone from this planet. The problem will not be morality but the shape of the planet they inherit.

Depends upon how their parents discipline them. Parents have magical hands, they can make a kid good or bad, with the way they raise them up. I have seen a lot of kids, whom I wish behaved a little better. Then I see a lot of kids who ar just perfect, that sometimes I wish I were like them.

The future- the well disciplined kids become more successful and the not so disciplined students end up not being successful or they realize their mistake and try to clean up the mess they have created.

A bright and a wonderful one? (it pays to be optimistic) Who knows these kids that we are raising today might grow up into wonderful and responsible adults who will be able create a much better world than we did. Millions and millions of people can't really go wrong, can they? And then the presence of the almighty is always there to guide us.
Remember what the lord said;
"Yada Yada Hi Dharmasya

Glanirva Bhavathi Bharatha,

Abhyuthanam Adharmaysya

Tadatmanam Srijami Aham'.

Bhagavad Gita (Chapter IV-7)

"Whenever there is decay

of righteousness O! Bharatha

And a rise of unrighteousness

then I manifest Myself!"
(I couldn't resist quoting this one)

Well, under the present rule of thumb, sent by the government , We will have more people populating the prisons then walking the streets. The bureaucratic red tape , that take their rules and regulations on discipline to the ninth degree, has made it practically impossible for the children to be disciplined, without some (Idiot , tree hugger) turning them in for child abuse. So. as you see , we have children , going to anger management classes, on medicine for hyper activity, ( caused by diet, and lack of real activity, and apathetic parents, who would rather have them labeled any number of things in order to cast the blame for their misbehavior somewhere other then themselves. Bleak, until parents wake up , take their God given rights back, and start acting like parents instead of pill dispensers. You really didn't want to open that can of worms, did you ?

parents are afraid to discipline their children...especially in the US where child protection laws are very strict...they see simple spanking as physical abuse....because of this, children grow up hard-headed and thinking that they can always get away with what they want...sometimes, parents just have to be firm with their kids....they should hand out punishments (not necessarily physical) when it is called for...but once things have cooled down, parents should explain why the punishment was given...it is only in this way, the child learns the value of the lesson being taught and if good traits were instilled in the children at a young age...it is likely that they will carry these with them as adults...children who have good values will become good adults and effective members of society...

i believe they lack discipline because of our society and giving children the message that life is more cooler if you are a bad boy. then you start ignoring your parents and start going on the bad sides of things and forget what we have learned.
the future will be none if this keeps going we need everyones help to fix this.

hi gEnTLe m@n...

You are absolutely right dude. Nowadays people specially children are lacking a lottt of discipline. And i think their parents should be held responsible because they are not giving or teaching or you can say preaching their children that good quality of discipline. Parents are first teachers to a child. And if teachers themselves doesnt teach properly then finally the children will not be able to come up to the mark....tc....sweet dreamz...bye....

You are very much correct. I am a child, and I can clearly see what is brainwashing today's children. It is all those stupid video games and the television. It basically is showing Hero vs. Villian. That's really distracting.
