the baking soda is basic, lemon juice in water is acidic, so there will be a reaction there...... the production of a salt solution. the food colouring and sugar probably won't effect the reaction. i wonder what it will taste like? / Na2CO3 & C6H8O7 = CO2 & Na2.......? &H2O

Yes & no.
The lemon juice (citric acid) will react with the baking soda (NaHCO3) but the coloring and sugar will just be a mixture in the water.

Yes. Lemon juice contains citric acid. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate. The two of them react to form carbon dioxide gas. That is a chemical reaction. When I did that when I was a child, my parents smiled at me and called it a "kitchen concoction" or a "kitchen fizz."

There will be a chemical reaction between the NaHCO3 (baking soda) and lemon juice (citric acid). It'll bubble.
