You need to have a wireless access point on your modem. It can be part of your modem, you can buy a router with wireless capability, or you can buy a plain-vanilla access point for about $20 at most computer stores. Once that is set up, be sure that the antenna on your laptop is turned on and the wireless NIC card is enabled.

you should verify why HP is $one hundred more suitable. Did you examine the picture card, the quantity of memory ram, the gadget bus processor, etc. if those issues are more suitable ideal than the Dell, then it worth to pay the more suitable money. If each and every of the specs are a similar then it may avert those more suitable $ and get the Dell.

unless you want to CONNECT your laptop by cord to the modem, you need a WIRELESS ROUTER.
