While I don't have a favorite recordeng, the Fantasia written by Ralph Vaughan Williams is my favorite version of it.

Yes, yes! Definitely the Vaughn Williams. That man could'a taken "Turkey in the Straw" and turned it into pure bliss . Any ol' recording by a major symphony will do.

i second the meaning of the 1st answerer, it's all about your taste.

my favorite recording of Greensleeves is the one by Loreena McKennitt on the album The Visit.

Hard to say for a musical piece thats been around since 1580.
I have heard rock versions and classical ones...it is all about your taste.
