can any body think of a reason to have an abortion?

Rape and health issues. I don't think a woman should be forced to carry a pregnancy to term if she were raped. I also think that if there is a good chance a woman may die during childbirth, and she's not prepared to make that risk, then she should be allowed to terminate her pregnancy.

I do and do not agree with you I had abortion when I was very young. I also sometimes I wish I would of just gave the baby up for adoption witch I have also done that. I feel as though there are some woman in this world who should have a abortion because they are not mentally stable or addicted to drugs or have 10 children and can not take care of any of them. Child welfare is so busy that there is so many kids and baby that slip through the cracks and never have a chance in life and they have to life that horrible crazy life everyday. I do not think woman should be allowed to use it as a form of birth control.

Ectopic pregnancy! Also known as a tubal pregnancy where the fertilized egg implants into the fallopian tubes. The pregnancy cannot continue because the tube will burst and cause severe hemorrhage and probably death for the mother. This is a legitimate reason for abortion no matter how you slice it. Unless you all support allowing the mother to die a horrible death.

There are rare cases that I dont judge in abortion. I dont judge those rare people who get an abortion because of rape, incest or severe medical condition. Yea I may not always agree but thats their choice. But, I am STRONGLY against people who use it as birth control or just dont want to take on the responsibilty. That is no excuse. I dont care who you are, what you dont have, or where you are in life, there is no excuse for it. I got pregnant, I had nothing I mean nothing at all. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I fell in love with child and busted my *** to make a life for my son. I did what ever it took. Abortion never even entered my mind. That was my child that I created, that I CHOSE to create. I dont care if its an accident, birth control is not 100%. If your gonna have sex, be prepared to deal with the consequences. I'm tired of hearing people say its just a fetus. NO, its not just a fetus, its YOUR fetus that YOU created and YOUR child. How can anyone (excluding those rare cases) terminate their own soon to be child?? I dont understand. And I'm tired of hearing well its her body, she has the right to chose. Well from the moment you become pregnant, its not about you anymore, its about that child. Thats just plain selfishness. Its just very sad. I love my son, he is my life, he has made me the happiest woman alive, I WOULD TAKE MY OWN LIFE FOR HIM!!!!

If you dont want the burden or cant take care of it, then why take a chance of getting pregnant?? If you know you would get an abortion, then get your tubes tied. Dont create a child then destroy it.

Because you have a "I'm invincible" mindset and think you can go around having unprotected sex and not get pregnant. Then you get knocked up and realize that your life will be totally ruined, so you need an abortion.

I'm gonna get a bunch of thumbs downs because people are thinking about rape victims and incest - but my reason represents a much larger portion of abortions than rape or incest. So thumb away.

yes for young people or very poor people they cannot handle a baby and putting it in a home is hard and hard emotionally. many people can't afford kids. Some people feel that the baby is not alive until its born.People shoulnd't have to have a burden if they dont want it. For must of us a baby is not a burden but Think wouldn't it be better for the baby to go to heaven then die in a terrible home. I am not a huge fan of abortion so that's all I can think of but hope it helps!

I do agree abortion is wrong. However I believe even more strongly in the freedom of choice and not forcing my views on any one else. Adoption is the answer to unwanted pregnancy in my opinion but that is exactly all it is, my opinion.

There are plenty of reasons to have an abortion. Nobody likes abortions, or wants them to happen. It is a matter of having sovereignty over one's own body. Nobody should be forced to give birth.
