Neither the intellect nor the emotion is particularly good at making decisions by itself.

The intellect can make very logical decisions, but sometimes these logical decisions are not very compassionate and can cause great pain to others.

In contrast, when the heart makes decisions alone, it can often make rash choices based on what it wants to do, rather than on what would be the most practical choice.

When the two work together, however, they help to balance each other out. The result is often a decision that is much more wholistic and beneficial for all involved.

your intellect , your heart tells you things you feel and love and care but can cause you to get so wrapped up in the moment it can cause you to make bad choices, and later regret. your other one tells you when your in a situation what is best for you. your heart can fool you sometimes. and that's how we end up hurt
