We see lots of injustice happening around us. We see it where we study, where we work, in the society and everywhere. But we don’t want to object it or correct it, saying it has nothing to do with us.

We also say that everyone should do his duty properly, then world would be correct. But no one wants to raise objects around us.

But when it affects us personally then we blame the society, political system and everyone else.

I know, now what is going on in your mind. You are questioning my credibility now right:

I fought with the authorities in Bangalore (during India-Newzeland match and got the refund). My picture was published in the news paper).

I fought with the Indian consulate general and Indian Ambassador when one of my friend was kept has a hostage in Riyadh by terrorists. Finally when my friend came back, his article was captured across all the news channels.

I fought in my current country for introducing paid parking. Once again my picture was published in the news paper. Likewise I have done many to say this to you guys today.

I am not boasting myself here, but I suggest that everyone of us should have some responsibility towards society and change people around us.

If we all do this, then we can change people across the globe including political leaders and bring peace to the world.

Don’t straightway disagree and shy away. Instead even motivate other readers to do something for the society with your innovative words.

There are avariety of reasons why people ignore or turn their heads from crime.I think the chief cause is fear.People do not wish to get involved because then they have to spend time explaing to the police exactly what they witnessed, appearing in court and being humiliated by ruthless defense attorneys. They are labeled a "snitch"and worse. They open themselves up for retaliation by the perpetrators of the crime.About the only benefit they get from doing the right thing is maybe a small reward and the feeling inside yourself that you know you did the right thing. There are other benefits which are not as apparent. One is that the less larceny their is the lower prices in the stores remain. It sets an example to the others in the community to do the right thing thus making your community a better plzce in which to live and that in turn helps keep your home values higher.Another thing is that employees who work in stores do not own the stores and therefore have less reason to care.I saw a man walk into a small convenience store last week and pick up some articles of food and just walk out the door when the cashiers back was turned.I told the cashier but all she said was I don't care,I don't own the place. If others knew that was her attitude a lot more people would be stealing from that store.Well maybe not that certain store because I went back up there the next morning and told the owner who is a friend of mine.He fired her that very day when she came to work.If .For a while abandoned houses in our neighborhood were being taken over by "crack"dealers. The long time residents of the neighborhood got together and pressured the police to do something about it .With our help we were eventually able to rid the neighborhood of these vacant "crack"houses. Now we no longer have young kids on the street accosting people asking them if they are straight. That is a phrase dealers use to ask if you want to but dope. The only way we are going to rid our communities and society from these petty criminals is to coordinate with the police and push out the bad element.

You are perfectly right. It's such issues that we should be discussing in places like these. All of us demand our rights but never speak about our duties. The society today is selfish and just not sensitive to others needs and unfortunately we are raising our future generations in the same atmosphere. Maybe Alex would like to tell us where these kind of topics can be dicussed so that one can get a positive and a responsible reponse from the likes of him.

Hi..

I don't think it's tolerance towards crime and injustice.., I believe people are afraid to get involved..No one wants to come home and see a noose hanging outside their door...Or Swastikas carved on their house or synagogue..
There are so many crazies out there, people are afraid someone is going to hurt them or their family, if they come forth and open their mouth against injustice,or a crime committed..
That's why when someone is interviewed by the media, their face is blurred out.."just in case"..Just in case some nut wants to take retaliation for someone coming forth, and trying to help! It not a matter of coming forward to do the right thing..It's fear..
Take care all!

it is the cause of all problem and that is because we are quiet. some people are quiet because they think if it has nothing to do with me why should i care but when it happens to then they just wonder why no one is helping them. what we don't do when we are quiet is called no being inhuman. we are not helping our own people, our own world that has helped us through everything. and we can't stand up and be one of the voices that helps this world from being a messed up world.we do this because of our own greed. one person can't make a difference alone, but if every person thinks that if i help this world can be changed then we all would help our world into a better place.

another thought provoking question from you....i guess some people would rather keep quiet about the injustices that they see around because mostly of fear...they are afraid that if they voice out...someone might get back at them...which happens most of the time, right?..especially if its between a poor and helpless person and one who is powerful and rich...

i admire you for standing up and doing your duty...in reality, all countries need more people like you....

i tried to voice out my indignation once and wrote to one of our government officials...didn't get any response from him...dont even know if he read my letter....i guess i am just a tiny voice not worth hearing....sigh

My ways of attempting to change injustice are in the form of ink. I write letters and article's and send them to everyone I can think of, to the national publications, and the political parties that I feel might get involved. (no sense in sending a letter to a political party that will speak against it) I speak of these things with my friends try to get others involved. Of course not everyone agrees with me as is their right.
I don't place blame. That is a useless expense of good energy

hi gEnTLe m@n...

Dude we keep quite because we people really have that thinking that its not related to us so why involve ourselves into these things.

Our attitude is like lets leave these things on the leaders.

But if we really leave these things on the leaders then the world can never ever improve. It will always get destructed.

I think people should have the tendency to stand against such injustices. Even if people do stand then they are made to shut up. So ultimately, people doesn't have a choice and they really have to shut their mouths.

I have never stood against injustices but if i'll get a chance i'll surely do that...tc....sweet dreamz...bye....

Everybody's responsible for their own actions. We can't change the way other people think, feel and act.

The only one's we can change are ourselves.

If everyone treated others' the way they'd want to be treated, there would be none of these problems.

The only way to end crime and injustice, is to realise our actions do affect other people.

IMO, apathy is more dangerous than committing an actual act.

I do not turn the other cheek, and will NOT tolerate intolerance under any circumstances.
