We the people or I (as I only can say what I think) are not perfect. I actually have only said that to my daughter as a teenager when during a rebellion she might point out a mistake on my part. For the rest of society I don't give an excuse if I am wrong I apologize and ask where in my thinking did I go askew. I really want to know so I can think on this. Otherwise I take full responsibility for my action/words
As an example : When I was learning accounting I was to send a Fed x (payroll) on a Friday and when I sat down at my desk on Monday I was horrified that it was sitting there on my desk. My phone rang and it was the person who should have received the Fed x. He wanted to know why he didn't get the Fed x. I told him that I had not any excuse, that I didn't get it out , there wasn't any reason for this and apologized and said I would drive the 450 miles when I finished work this day
He was startled and said that that was OK and to just Fed x it and don't worry. I told my supervisor what I had not done and the whole office was surprised that this man was not angry at me. Apparently others offered excuses in the past and this man an owner of our company always wanted the person demoted or fired and could not believe he was OK with this! Such a good lesson for me. No excuses just take responsibility and it makes things better in the long run!!!

I think I use that phrase to make others feel better. I always say that when people tell me that they have done something stupid. It is not to justify anyone, or hide anything. It is just a way to let a person know that, all the human beings have mistakes and that person shouldn't beat themselves up over one mistake. But move on with a motivation to try to make no more mistakes.

What is "perfection"?I don't think saying no one is perfect is an excuse for an error.I think it is merely said to defuse what may be an embarrassing moment for the rerson who erred. This reminds me of the Diadactics of Plato. How can you say anyone made a mistake unless you know what perfection is in the first place?Who decides what is perfect? Are we referring about a miscalculation in a mathematical problrm here or spilling a cup of coffee on an expensive carpet?Futhermore I don't believe saying no one is perfect hides the mistake only provides a reason why an event occurred.Certainly is is not used for the purpose of justification. If it were than what you would really be saying that I made a mistake but saying that no one is perfect makes it perfect.Appears to be circular.I think that when someone says no one is perfect they are really saying I am sorry.Your pal larry m

But no one can be Perfect. Our beautiful world is made of all sorts of people (and that is what makes it unique) and in a world where all sorts of people with different views are living ,one can never expect two people to agree on any issue. The question of mistake or justification does not arise here. It's just the difference of opinion which makes you think that 'you' are right and 'I' am wrong.

Hi..
We're not saying no one is perfect to hide our mistakes..
But it's true..No one is perfect..otherwise we wouldn't be there today!
Most of us, do the best we can..But we're bound to make a mistake from time to time..Okay, we learn from it, try to correct it, and get on with our lives..
Life is much to short to dwell on something we did or someone else did..
We don't know from one day to the next..So correct our mistakes, forgive someone if they made a mistake with us..And move on..
God Bless you all, and have a fantastic weekend!

we say no one is perfect to hide our mistakes sometimes, but it is this way so no one will become too over confident and everyone has things in their life that they have to improve and that will never end we will always be able to make our life better and better and better. it all depends on our thinking. But we sometimes do say that to hide our insecurity toward things we are unsure about. but it only actually helps you when you say "no one is perfect" when you take that by your heart and actually believe it to believe it. not just because it might sound good.

it truly is in many situations because of the fact they don't be attentive to the way the guy they're disenchanted with will react and that they don't be attentive to a thank you to deal with conflicts in a efficient way, so as that they could only somewhat write the friendship/relationship off, without supplying you with of project to make it appropriate. This has exceeded off to me plenty (with a pair of relatives) and that i've got tried writing letters or asking what's incorrect and that they denied something grew to become into incorrect yet issues replaced between us. the relationship grew to grow to be pretend and at last, the relationship only deteriorated. some human beings do unlike confrontations and that they could somewhat avert uncomfortable situations...or perhaps they're nervous of having that on the fringe of you because of the fact with each and every arguments/confrontations, you get closer to the reality/who they are relatively.

I used to hear this all the time when my daughter went to a church school, they obviously used to say it alot. She used to say it when she'd been naughty, and she'd add, 'everyone's naughty sometimes'. I had mixed feelings about it. We have to be able to forgive ourselves for our errors, but we also must take responsibility. It's a balance. People say it because it alleviates some responsibility.

hi gEnTLe m@n...

Bro its the fact that no one is perfect.

But i know that people make misuse of this proverb. They think that by saying this 1 line they can easily get out from their mistakes, which is not correct.

Each and every person make mistakes and i think instead of misusing this line people should realize their mistakes and try to learn from their mistakes.

As mistakes could sometimes be proved really very helpful...tc....sweet dreamz...bye....
