- Some offspring are produced unfertile.
- It causes an uneven pattern in breeding migration (birds)
- The results are that if something reproduces alone (e.g - liverworts/moss plants) then the chances of survival are limited.
- It may cause species to become less produced thus more likelly to become exctinct or have low numbers and in need of more preservement or breeding to keep numbers up.

because you could be mating with the same sex and that wont work you need both reproductive parts male and female and then they both need to be fertile and then they both need to be well ready to reproduce
