I believe that the surge has worked to tamp down the violence. I do not believe we have won the war at this point.
What upsets me the most is that if we had all stayed firmly on the side of the USA back a couple of years ago, this would already be over. The terrorists who came from Syria and Iran would have never tried if they thought we were in for the long haul. By making such a big toodoo about Abu Grave and other mistakes, we played right into their belief that American was losing it's stomach for the battle.

It's a sign things are improving, but it doesn't prove anything yet. There's still a long way to go in Iraq. How long will we need to keep troops in Fallujah and will the insurgents return when we finally leave there?
As for the cut and run liberals, they are forcing me to lose faith in the Democrat Party. They say there is no hope for salvaging our mission in Iraq, and I don't think that's true and very un-American. I don't think there is anything Americans can't do if we put our minds to it. The Democrats should have considered strategic options for correcting our mission in Iraq, taken ownership of the issue, and reap the glory when we finally do succeed. Now they look like Bush did before the troop surge, the bullheaded prigs that stick to what they believe to be true rather than looking at what is true. Bush looks smart by comparison because he was the first to do a strategy change.

Yes.
Not necessarilly (what happens when the troops leave Iraq without political consensus and reform?).
Ceased? That's news to me.
Since I don't know of any cut and run liberals (you really should turn off Hannity) then I can't answer your other question.
Signs are good for now but I am skeptical as long as we don't address the Iraqi governent's problems, the growing power of tribes (that work as crime syndicates) that we are essentially bribing to keep peaceful, and the lack of jobs. Until then this just looks like a band-aid.

no longer that wearing a pin makes you patriotic as an after impact, even though it does say something approximately your attitudes and values. i'm no longer asserting that a public parent, a congressional representative that would not placed on a pin is any much less patriotic by skill of the mere reality that they do no longer look to be wearing a pin. I advise, you have have been given to bathe a while! yet democrats, on the full, tend to work out the flag as a representation of 'usa'...bypass parent, appropriate? And usa isn't what they like it to be. they're very unhappy with usa appropriate now. VERY unhappy. and that they have been unhappy with usa for some years. in reality, they're so disgusted by skill of it that being disgusted with usa has grow to be only approximately synonymous with the liberal custom. consequently, the flag is a logo of a rustic that they, at some point, at the instant despise. and that's style of the project we are having appropriate now. They despise the present 'incarnation' of usa and so as that they discover the logo of that incarnation the two distasteful. in case you 'placed on a flag', it skill you help the present incarnation of usa and that they are able to't carry themselves to try this. Now me? i'm a conservative and that i stumbled extensively speaking Clinton era truly distasteful. yet i grew to become into waiting to split my usa from the government and the liberal phase of the inhabitants that i got here across so unfavorable. And yet I had a flag on my vehicle the excellent time. no longer because of the fact it made me 'greater patriotic', yet i wanted...i wanted...to speak my stunning delight in my usa. A delight I felt inspite of Clinton and inspite of the left. Liberals, it style of feels, won't be able to split this and consequently, it would only suck to bypass by way of existence so continuously and completely disgusted with your usa, your place.

The people are happy right until the Americans leave again, then the crazies come right back. It's like trying to control rats.

Didn't see it but have saw other shows that suggest such. What a lot of people don't get is that we are not in a war with Iraq but it is with the terriorist that are there and that come there.

All the dems want people to know is that "Bush Lied, People Died". So the dems condemn Turkey for something that happened a hundred years ago, Turkey is now moving troops in on the Kurds. The Dems made a calculated move to worsen the conditions in Iraq, and in a time of war this is considered TREASON!

Sorry, I've got a job, so I don't watch much t.v. in the morning.
American deaths have ceased? That would be nice if it were true, but it's a horrible thing to lie about.
So is ABC no longer considered to be part of the "liberal media", or do you only believe them if they say what you want to hear?
