Norton cannot be accessed via Add/Remove programs. It also does not have an un-install feature, which is why some people call it a virus.
Go to the site below and run the program.

Symantec products are a pain to remove from a Windows system. After you uninstall it from the "Add/Remove Programs" app, go to - My Computer > Local Disk (C:) > Program Files > Then delete anything else named "Symantec or Norton." Those programs store files and info all over your computer, so if you see them in other places, don't be surprised.

try to search for the Norton files. If u find it go to uni.exe. If u don't find the file. Right click where ure icon is then go to properties, u will get where the file is. Or if u find it u can delete it manualy. Or diable its effect on the administrative tools then try to install the norton again.

you can remove this by going to start, control panel, add/remove programs, then wait for the list of ur programs, and then find it, click remove.
in add and remove programs you can also uninstall any of the games your computer comes with and any accessories you dont use, by using the add/remove components button on the left hand side of add/remove programs window..
hope this helps
