As most everyone else stated u-joints would be the first thing to check. Is your rearend a posi? have you changed the fluid in the rearend lately? If your vehicle has a posi it could be the posi unit going bad, or if you had the fluid changed recently and did not put posi lube additive in that could be the cause of your problem.

the in basic terms element i can imagine of is the sound would properly be the exhaust gadget cracking, tink and creaking once you turn the ignition off after a lengthy confusing force. that is well-known as there's a huge number of warm temperature in present day truck exhaust platforms. The pipes are cooling and shrinking. leap top out of the truck and craul below the truck and hear the pipes and muffler below.

Sounds like the driveshaft universal joints could be failing.

As long as it drives ok and you don't have any dash warning lights, just keep driving until it breaks. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't be keeping up with Chrysler's (Dodge) maintenance schedule for your vehicle.
