Depends on how big / thick the marble is. If it's a large piece for say, a worktop, I'd get someone to do it for you, but if it's just 30x30cm marble tiles, then you'll be able to do it with a diamond blade wetsaw, which you can get for about £50 in a DIY shop. Buy a few extra blades and some eye protection as well!

Marble is fairly soft and can be cut with a
wet saw such as a tile cutter.
If it's only one cut, a fine tooth saw blade will
do it, (slow cut with water), but the blade won't
be of much use after.
If finish is a concern, best go to a pro.

I cut marble, slate and granite with my diamond coated disk electric wet tile cutter. Take it slow, the visible cut edge will need sanding with wet & dry sandpaper (used wet) sanding with an electric sander that safe for wet paper. Its quite easy if you have good tools. I've cut stone up to 30mm thick.
My wet tile saw table cost £110, but you can get cheep ones from £30.

I agree which you're placing your self up for extremely some paintings. Any tile observed will decrease it right down to 4"x4" products. The final time I had to decrease curves in tile I used a diamond grinding jigsaw blade that i got here across at Lowes. there is likewise a small coping observed there that works on tile. The jigsaw blade labored especially plenty yet you would be wanting a grinder to soft out the curve. As for reducing holes, drills and hollow saws are made for tile. I even have additionally got here across them at lowes.
