Yes - one of my very best friend's name is Karen. It is not particularly "cute" for a little girl, but it is a very professional-name for a grown woman (my friend is a corporate lawyer). It is not a vogue or trendy name, so it should not sound dated years from now.

Yes, i'm pretty sure that we all know it, but i like more unique names, if you still want to use karen, i'd suggest maybe: Kayren, Karena, Karenna. Hope this Helps.

yes and i also know the name "nerak" from the movie "watcher in the woods" and this girl Karen was trapped in another dimension and this little girl was, like, channeling her and wrote her name backwards on a window...hence Nerak....and then they brought her back to our dimension...good movie.

It was pretty common back in the 1950's and 60's. I personally think it's a beautiful name. That's just me though.
