Best question of the day....surely the funniest.
If you're even remotely (or half way serious) then I'd suggest you make sure the gas cap is always TIGHT after filling up, and get it too your nearest technician whom has the computer equipment necessary to check the codes. The codes will tell you what the heck is wrong.
ROFL....that's some pretty funny stuff.
Thanks.

I had an identical difficulty, my examine engine gentle might come on for some days and change off. the laptop on your vehicle nonetheless memorizes the code which shows the difficulty along with your vehicle. based on the 300 and sixty 5 days, it must be your Catalitic converter. examine engine gentle has to do with emissions, besides the shown fact that it must be the Oxygen sensor besides. it must be something minor like the gas cap, best element is to have it checked by making use of a production facility experienced technician. O2 sensor you could anticipate to pay some hundred money. A Cat. Converter is greater costly, the area itself will run below a hundred money, maximum places will attempt to tear you off. you could anticipate a great elementary place to have the area plus hard paintings for purely $3 hundred.00. Dont bypass to the dealership, it is going to run you're 1K which isnt exciting.

maybe you can put a remote camera in the engine compartment or something, then you won't have to stop to check it any more. You can just check the video screen.

Have you looked at your owners manual? It will tell you what the light means.
My guess is that it will tell you that the car needs to be checked out at the manufacturers service center very soon.
This light can mean various things. It may mean that your car has reached a predetermined mileage that the manufacturer feels is appropriate to have the car inspected. It may mean that your emission control system is in need of service. Or... in my moms case. She didnt tighten the fuel cap when she filled her gas tank. The "system" recognized something in the system was not right and the light came on and it could not be turned off until the service center turned it off.
I would have the car bought into the dealership service center. Yes, they are alittle more expensive but at the same time they may be saving you money in the long run.
They can keep a proper record of your vehicles history and that is worth "points" when you decide to sell it one day.
Good luck!

" Q: Is it safe to drive if my "Check Engine" light is on?
A: It really depends what code is stored and what caused it. In worst cases driving with "Check engine" light may cause more damage to the vehicle. A car may even stall while driving. If your check engine light came on, I'd certainly recommend to visit your dealer or a mechanic as soon as possible, just to be on a safe side. If the Check Engine light is flashing, this means that the engine computer (ECM) has detected that your engine is misfiring, which could damage your catalytic converter. Have the your vehicle inspected"

As long as the engine is still there, I don't think you have any serious problems. That light is just there to let you know if your engine has been stolen. :D

It could be something not related to the engine like bad gas or a loose gas cap.
