Check out The Who. John Entwistle was one of the best. there are many Who songs with lots of fast bass playing.
Also Chris Squire of Yes is equally as good. Yes also has a lot of songs with fast bass playing.

well since im from trinidad chutney, soca are our type of music and the majority are fast base. A fews songs,, sharlene boodram with the song "sweeta",, "dhulahin chalay" a nice base song, its under chutney music, you may find alot of chutney on lime wire or you tube esp myspace,, just put in chutney under music and you'll find everyone's profile who plays chutney songs. click and enjoy!
