wow, that's a great question. obviously, criminals are not afraid of the american justice system, but maybe some of them might start being afraid of vigilante justice if a few people actually took matters into their own hands......... not condoning it, but it's an interesting prospect!
good luck.

That someone is on the most wanted list does not make it legal to kill him or her.
Since Bin Laden is outside the U.S. and is not a U.S. citizen, killing him would not violate U.S. law. U.S. law prohibits murder in the U.S. and murder of U.S. citizens anyone. Killing Bin Laden might or might not be illegal under the laws of the country where he is. I do not know which country that is, so I cannot be sure. U.S. law (the USMJ) also prohibits murder by U.S. military personnel anywhere in the world, but if someone in the U.S. military killed Bin Laden, the military might decide this was killing the enemy in war, rather than murder, and not prosecute.

Yes, murder is a crime, whether or not someone is on the list.
And the list does not state "dead or alive."

Depends where you killed him. If it was in the US and you just went up to him and killed him then you committed murder and would have to be arrested, although i am sure the courts would be very very lenient and release you in time for your parade.

That's because someone like Bin Laden was trying to kill you first right? (or at least that's how my story would go--self defense).

yes its against the law to kill someone, even bin laden, so if you find him handcuff him, tie him up real good and go collect your reward money.

I guess that would depend if you were a soldier or police officer, or if somehow you performed a citizen's arrest.
