I have to do an experiment for a science project on 'if fertilized water is more effective than just regular tap water'. How can I make a fertilized water that will be effective? What should the water-to-fertilizer ratio be? Any other tips? Thanks.

Get a box of Miracle Gro plant food (granular). It has instructions on the box about how much to mix with water to fertilize your plants. It even comes with a little measuring spoon in the box.
