I was watching the one, this AM, about how you can buy up notes and list them on somebody's website and you get a check in the mail. Anybody out there done this?

I haven't tried that particular one, but I have tried several others. Here's what is typically done:

They entice you with the infomercial and get you to buy their package (which is usually affordable). However, when you get the package, it's a bunch of motivational stuff with just a little bit of "real" instructional information. Then they offer you the Mentoring Program or Next Level package, which will "give you all the info you need to make money." This is typically much more expensive than the teaser package they sell off the infomercial. Of course, when you get the "next level" package you'll find there are more levels to purchase. A twist on this is that they invite you to a free seminar where they give you some teaser info, but then you have to buy the "next level" package for the details...then the cycle starts.

Maybe there are some legitimate seminars or workshops you can attend, but I'm pretty sure you won't find them on any infomercial.

Yes, the infomercials really work. Those who make the profits are those who offer the infomercials. Their profits come from folks who are gullible enough to pay for what the infomercial offers. In other words, avoid them.

You need to read the find print that these shows always flash in front of you for about 1 1/2 seconds. It basically says,"These results are representative of less than 1% of those who participate".

There's a sucker born every minute so there will always be these types of commercials. Most get rich schemes only make the purveyor rich. Don't fall for any of these which are mostly charlatans.

Be very, very, very skeptical. If it worked, they'd be doing it (and keeping it a secret) instead of trying to sell you their program.
