Who knows, maybe Madeleine was a Russian spy - the whole thing is bizarre and I'm not getting it.
It's a tangled web and it doesn't seem to be unravelling anytime soon.

Why indeed. It is one thing to have police protection although the suspects in other crimes not get that luxury, but SPECIAL BRANCH protection is too much. Why? I wish more people would ask that question.

As Sal*UK points out - if the level of comment on here is anything to go by they have every right to fear for their lives. I've seen some vile incitements to violence on here - they need protection from the nutters out there.

They aren't protecting them, they are helping to open ALL the letters of support. I mean why would they need protecting!

If they are, I would imagine its because they have received death threats. Judging by the reaction of a lot of people on various forums, it doesn't surprise me!

Because the publicity they have rightly sought to help find out what happened to their daughter is antagonising some people. Amongst those people are some cranks.
