At most of the positions you listed, New England and Indy have the ability to match the Steelers and still win their games with back-ups. However, at the QB position, then it turns interesting. Has Jim Sorgi or Matt Cassell even started a regular season game? Most people probably couldn't even place which of those back-ups goes to which team (the casual fan, not speaking to the hardcore ones, obviously). Charlie Batch is undefeated as a starting quarterback for the Steelers. I see that some beg to differ about him being a good quarterback, but when Charlie was with the Lions, the Lions were bad. And they've always kind of been, so that's just about a moot point.

That's my 2 for 2.

I agree -- the top teams Patriots and Colts have great depth in most positions and in receiving they have several options but if Tom Brady or Peyton Manning got injured I think their season would be shot. Charlie Batch isn't able to run like Ben Rothlisberger but he is a great quarterback in his own right and would be able to lead the Steelers. We proved that we could win without our top two receivers in Hines Ward and Santonio Holmes when we played Seattle and against the majority of teams we could survive without a couple defensive players but I don't think we could win against the elite with a secondary defense. All the same we probably are in the top three teams as far as depth. Patriots are up there as well as most of their team can play several positions and even move from offense to defense and vise versa. They have been winning without their top 2 running backs. Interesting question ...Go Steelers!!!

Who is Jim Sorgi?

There is no way the Pats or Colts even smell the playoffs with their backup QB's.

That is why all the bandwagon Pats fans are jumping the gun when they say they are gonna win the Superbowl. Does anyone truly believe that the Pats could win without Brady?

Natedawg is the ultimate Cowboys bandwagon homer.

The Steelers do have more depth than anyone else that's wy we rarely have a bad season. It goes way back to the 70's with the super subs.

New England has about as much, but not the quality that the Steelers have.

Patriots... hands down... they're on their #3 and #4 RB's, the have 3 amazing WR's and some of the people from previous seasons as starters are on the bench now. Tom Brady is well Tom Brady and New England's defense is old but solid.

No doubt Steelers are good but it's not their year this year.

I'll take the Cowboys bench over the Steelers bench anyday....

Green Dot - you were alomost right exept for the Bandwagon part....Ulitmate Dallas Homer since 77......oh, and look at Green Dots answers, he obviously is the biggest Cowboy hater on here (hes still sad about Neil O'Donnels performance against the Boys in the SB. It's OK little fella, it's in the past.)
