I really have to take exception to some of your comparisons, Martinez 301-25-114 is clearly better than Varitek 255-17-68 and Lugo 237-8-73 had problems at the plate all year. However, it really makes no difference who has the better players since the Indians are clearly out playing the Red Sox in this series. Also, luck has nothing to do with it, the Indians are playing well and the Red Sox have no answers.

Martinez is much better offensively than Varitek, Tek does have the defensive edge - but Martinez is the better player right now.
The same goes for Peralta and Lugo.
Nixon has a slight edge over Drew.
As a Sox fan that's watched Crisp on a daily basis, I personally believe he has the DEFENSIVE edge over Sizemore. Obviously Grady is the better all-around player (although he strikes out a ton.) The people above me are wrong for being so outraged by that.

because cleveland is freaking amazing.....just cause cleveland doesnt have a high payroll doesnt mean they dont have an insane amount of talent........
first off, crisp is definitely not better than Grady Sizemore; Varitek is not better than Martinez (look at the stats for the post season so far)...and the others are about even......

Because they're not getting on base to set up for Ortiz and Ramirez. If Pedroia and Youk can't get on base, Manny and Ortiz are no longer EXTREMELY scary to pitch to, and pitchers are less likely to make mistakes.

If you think Crisp is better than Grady Sizemore in CF you are mentally unstable. The majority of your assessment is wrong. They had the same regular season records and Cleveland had two starting pitchers who are Cy Young candidates. You are either unstable, uneducated about baseball or just a general moron.
